my tire and my tired.

Erdvig wastes no time making clear his intention to give readers a wake-up punch in the nose! He rightly charges most of us in Christian schooling (K—12 and seminary) with not practicing what we claim or promise on our websites. Some of us don’t even know what the phrase “biblical worldview” means. Many of us are stuck on the 1950s catchphrase “integration of faith and learning”—which we also haven’t been implementing. Erdvig offers to use cattle prods to goad us into realization, repentance, and redemption as school leaders and classroom teachers. For all of us, such redemption includes a fuller knowledge and understanding of God’s wisdom and truth as found in the close reading of Scripture, followed by obedient action.

There has long been a need for this book. While there are a lot of great books on the importance of biblical worldview, most lack practical strategies for living it out. This book offers both. With experience and wisdom, Roger Erdvig lays out a vision and practical strategy for creating Christian schools immersed in worldview. Beyond Biblical Integration is a book every Christian educator and administrator needs to read, study, and implement.

Biola University Professor, Speaker, Author
When Christian educators believe the perspective explained in these pages, act on their new understandings, and work with their colleagues, they will secure their students’ faith into their young adult years and beyond. Erdvig’s ideas will challenge you and compel you to action. He is clear and practical, so you will not be overwhelmed. The way he writes about the dminnt worldview of public schools caused me to gasp out loud and read several paragraphs more than once. He’s right! I’ve been involved in Christian education for thirty-five years, and I’ve been concerned we weren’t making the kind of difference we should be making. Erdvig teaches us what must change and how to do it. I’ve never read a more encouraging book for Christian educators.

Dr. Roger Erdvig presents a compelling argument for going beyond the teaching of a biblical worldview within our Christian schools to pursuing a complete Christian worldview immersion on our campuses. He offers practical steps to help educators develop, teach, and assess their progress in utilizing the Bible as a framework for all of reality. Most important, Erdvig inspires us to confidently live the gospel at our schools with joy. I plan to give a copy of this book to every member of my faculty.

Dr. Roger Erdvig is both an author and alchemist who, over the span of just a couple hundred pages, transforms the trappings of a traditional Christian classroom into a golden road towards true biblical worldview immersion. A quick warning for those readers undone by rapid rides and quick corners: Erdvig will help Christian school students, teachers, parents, administrators, and board members accelerate very quickly and efficiently toward actual fulfillment of the mission statements that we have boldly emblazoned across our promotional materials, websites, and social media! You will not escape the first chapter without being equipped to see your students enjoy true biblical worldview formation.

The classroom of today is the public policy of tomorrow. If our goal is to educate our children in a way that inoculates them against deceptive narratives and prepares them to influence and thrive in this culture, then we have to educate with the end in view. Dr. Erdvig identifies, with remarkable clarity, the challenges and the fundamental principles for every Christian parent and educator. This book meets a tremendous need and may very well be the catalyst for a paradigm shift in Christian education.

President, Delaware Family Policy Council
In an age when many of the world’s cultural landscapes are being immersed in a life-destroying tsunami of secularism, Roger Erdvig’s book is, indeed, timely. Dr. Erdvig proposes that in order for Christian schools to fulfill their role in advancing the Kingdom of God (while being surrounded by the intensely unfriendly climate in which they operate), they must begin to comprehend, create, and operate within environments immersed in the life-giving biblical worldview.
