And on the Sabbath day they went into the synagogue and satdown. 15 读完了律法和先知的书，管会堂的，叫人过去，对他们说：二位兄台，若有甚么劝勉众人的话，请说。 15 After the reading from the Law and the Prophets, the rulers of the synagogue sent a message to them, saying,“Brothers, if you have any word of encouragement for the people, say it.” 16 保罗就站起来，举手，说：以色列人和一切敬畏神的人，请听。 16 So Paul stood up, and motioning with his hand said:“Men of Israel and you who fear God, listen. 17 这以色列民的神拣选了我们的祖宗，…… 17 The God of this people Israel chose our fathers ……这是神的话语。接下来的几周，我们要进入使徒行传13章，使徒保罗在Antioch in Pisidia一篇非常长的讲道。整个讲道从13章17节直到41节，一共24节。这篇讲道的结构与使徒行传7章Stephen的讲道非常相似，都是从以色列的历史开始，引出救主耶稣来。保罗的事工受到Stephen很深的影响。可以说，Stephen是死于保罗手上。因此，当保罗信主以后，他一直以某种激进的方式在继续Stephen未竟的福音事工。我们在使徒行传第7章里没有详细讨论过Stephen的讲道，但是因为我们这学期有不少新人，因此我认为有必要略微详细地讨论保罗所传的福音与以色列的历史、神的计划和应许之间的联系。所以，今天我们主要集中在17节的前半部分：17 这以色列民的神拣选了我们的祖宗，……17 TheGod of this people Israel chose our fathers ……谈到历史，记得我拥有第一本圣经，是我刚进大学的时候。有一位学长在校园里贴小广告，说五块钱一本圣经。当时我父母给我读大学的生活费一个月是50元人民币，按照那时的汇率，等于5美元。我希望这样说没有暴露我的年龄。一般而言，我每个月都会省出一些钱来买书。那个月买了圣经，知道这是世界名著，赶紧打开来看。第一章神创造天地；第二章神造亚当夏娃；第三章亚当和夏娃偷吃伊甸园的果子，受到神的惩罚。这些内容大体上都是我从前知道的，读起来很顺畅，也没有什么出格的地方。但是，到了第四章出现了第一个家谱，就是亚当的儿子该隐的家谱。20 亚大生雅八；雅八就是住帐棚、牧养牲畜之人的祖师。 20 Adah bore Jabal; he was the father of thosewho dwell in tents and have livestock. 21 雅八的兄弟名叫犹八；他是一切弹琴吹箫之人的祖师。 21 His brother’s name was Jubal; he was the fatherof all those who play the lyre and pipe. 22 洗拉又生了土八该隐；他是打造各样铜铁利器的(或作：是铜匠铁匠的祖师)。土八该隐的妹子是拿玛。 22 Zillah also bore Tubal-cain; he was the forger of all instruments of bronze and iron. The sister of Tubal-cain was Naamah.然后，我的第一次圣经之旅就结束了。我当时心里想，接下来土八该隐就该生“王八该隐”了，这是什么书呀，如此无趣。然后就把书扔掉了，买了一套马克思（KarlMax）的《资本论Capital》，加上萨特（Jean-PaulSartre ）的《存在与虚无（Being and Nothingness）》来看。 其实不管圣经的翻译好不好，按照我自己的本性，估计那时我都不会接受耶稣是我的救主的。因为我根本不知道自己的败坏和罪。 ...
